This cocktail might benefit from a little bit of added sweetness, either in the form of simple syrup, or agave syrup, or honey syrup. If you’re allergic to almonds, or want to avoid the taste entirely you should look for the Amaretto di Saronno brand, they 100% use apricot seeds. Some brands use almonds, and some use apricot seeds instead. Funny enough this liqueur doesn’t always use actual almonds. So, it was with great surprise that we had such a relaxed, enjoyable time. Hot sun beating down on you, crowded parks, eh food-all to say I find them to be a recipe for disaster, at least when traveling with kids prone to mood swings and hangry fits. Partly because the expectations were low for me. Given the current events in Orlando, it feels odd to talk about our trip to Universal Studios last month. Still, it was the best time we’ve had in a long time.
